Tahoe Escape

Surviving the Great Depression

       Miss Tessa

1930 Dodge Runabout 16 Feet

4 cylinder Lycoming Engine

While not best suited for windy days because of their low freeboards, boats like Miss Tessa are a great way to get out on the Lake in calm conditions. They are great boats to develop and refine the skills necessary to pilot inboard powered boats on the Lake.

Miss Tessa had a sister ship called Leakin’ Lena. Both boats provided countless hours of family fun as they graced the shores of Lake Tahoe from the family’s home base in Homewood. Unfortunately, Leakin’ Lena now rests at the bottom of the Lake.
